Ki Seung-Yeung
Not my cup of tea (as some of you know).
Does not too close to enough for the team, and seems to retain his place week in, week out.
There were calls about Kayal's commitmentetc after a poor show at the weekend.....well this imposter has only had about 2 good games this season.
Discuss.

Good player when he has the ball. When he doesn't have it, i'm not too sure what he actually does. I thought he put in a good shift tonight, but in general I think he's vastly over rated.

Couple of bad performances aren't going to put me off of him. IMO, he is a certain pick in midfield.

I'm the polar opposite: A couple of decent performances won't change my mind about him.

Thought he was awful tonight. Doesn't look fit and doesn't appear to have a great engine. Very lazy performance.

If everyone was fit and on form, Ki wouldn't be in my Celtic team. I think Beram Kayal and Joe Ledley are both better players than Ki.

Agreed.
My fully fit midfield would be - Brown Kayal Ledley Forrest.

Put it this way, if he was sold for 3million first day of the JTW I wouldn't be the slightest bit bothered.

I may be a bit cynical and paranoid, but to me he hasn't performed since the transfer window shut. He was playing well before though. It makes me wonder if he was playing for a transfer?

Scored 1 and set up 1 in a 2-1 win today. Am I missing something here?

Re: Ki Seung-Yeung
He didn't really set it up, he hit the freekick, it bounced about a bit and Mulgrew scored. Didn't really see much of today's game so I dunno how he played today.

Overall play wasn't great Dev, struggled when going got tough in open play.
Ledley & Kayal is our best partnership by a mile.

I don't really get it, he kept the ball simple, kept possesion, scored a goal and had an excellent free kick for the winner.
Joint top scorer this season as well.

Re: Ki Seung-Yeung
I would say Mulgrew has been the stand out player this season.
As I've mentioned, Ki is good with the ball at his feet, and yes he can play a cracking pass.......but that's it imo!
Far too many times I have watched him off the ball hidin, not tracking back....
His set-pieces are woeful at times also....how many of his free-kicks and corners actually beat the first man?
I honestly don't know what some of you see in him at times?

Re: Ki Seung-Yeung
He does do all that Devlin, but he doesn't do anything off the ball. Joe Ledley's off the ball work is sensational and it's pretty decent when he has the ball, yet he never gets anywhere near as much praise as Ki, even if he is (for me anyway) a far better, and more important player. If Ledley had been playing centre mid with Kayal, we wouldn't be as far behind imo.

Re: Ki Seung-Yeung
Indeed, doesn't get stuck in enough when the going gets touch which is what we need atm. Ledley > Ki for me. Would be happy with all 3 together though.
