CELTIC chiefs have offered to fly home a fan who was seriously hurt in a horror ferry fall on his way to a Euro away match.
Sean Cantwell, 27, is recovering in a French hospital after plunging between two decks on the boat while en route to the Hoops' Europa League clash with Rennes.
He needed facial reconstructive surgery and an emergency op to fix a burst heart artery following the accident 11 days ago.
Club bosses have been in constant contact with his worried family as they keep a bedside vigil and it's believed they have offered to bring Sean, of Livingston, back to Scotland.
Last night a source said: "The doctors are hopeful Sean might be able to come home this week.
"His family has incurred quite a bit of expense with accommodation, food and travel costs.
"The club have let the family know they will do anything they can, both financially and logistically, to get him home.
"The boy was hurt following his club and they want to do everything they can to help."
Last night a Celtic spokesman said: "We are in close contact with the family and are offering our support."
